The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) recently unveiled the top 10 finalists in the 2026 Jamaica Gospel Star Competition, with this year’s contestants bringing deeply personal stories of faith, healing, perseverance and transformation to the national stage.
Representing the parishes of Kingston and St Andrew, Manchester, Portland, Clarendon, and St Catherine, the finalists emerged from recent auditions. They will now advance to the next phase as they compete for the coveted Jamaica Gospel Star title. Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport Olivia Grange said that the competition continues to serve as an important platform for unearthing and showcasing gospel talent, while inspiring audiences through messages of hope, faith and resilience.
“This powerful music ministry has continued to grow into a transformative platform to spread the gospel and encourage Jamaicans through faith and music,” Grange said.
