President of the Association of Professional Engineers (APETT), Ryan Roper, said their upcoming conference is focused on driving change and using engineering innovation to create a better future.
“We face many challenges across the Caribbean, from drainage, water management issues to understanding new technologies and innovations, to planning them. So let’s start with SMART for example. When you think of SMART, the first thing some people think about is smart TVs and the internet and things, these devices that are now intertwined with our everyday life. So how do we now move towards real-time monitoring and tracking of systems.”
