Seamen and Waterfront Workers’ Trade Union (SWWTU) president general Michael Annisette hailed the late People’s National Movement (PNM) founding member Ferdinand “Ferdie” Ferreira as a “towering figure in the trade union movement”.
The veteran trade unionist said Ferreira felt “hurt” that labour did not have a place in the People’s National Movement.
