THE US Embassy in Port of Spain and the US Southern Command (SouthCom) have donated US$25,000 ($175,000) worth of computers and educational equipment to Waterloo Secondary School, said an embassy statement on December 11.
"This initiative is part of US SouthCom’s ongoing humanitarian assistance programmne, which seeks to strengthen learning environments and advance digital literacy among students," the embassy said.
"The donation includes ten desktop computers, ten desks, ten chairs, ten UPS, a printer, ten whiteboards, a refrigerator, microwave, stationery, and supplies. The humanitarian assistance program supports learning environments, promotes digital literacy, and enhances opportunities for students."
