A 24-year-old man re­mains hos­pi­talised af­ter he was stabbed sev­er­al times dur­ing a vi­o­lent al­ter­ca­tion at Roy­al Bar, Guapo Cap-de-Ville Main Road, Point Fortin, around 10 am on Sat­ur­day.

The vic­tim, of Cap-de-Ville, was stabbed in the left fore­arm, both shoul­ders, right side of the ab­domen, left chest, back of the neck, and low­er right back.

Po­lice said a 30-year-old man from New Vil­lage, Point Fortin, claimed he had been lim­ing out­side the bar when an ar­gu­ment broke out. He al­leged the vic­tim point­ed a firearm at him, prompt­ing him to draw a knife from his pock­et and stab the vic­tim mul­ti­ple times.
