Mayor of Falmouth Collen Gager says the Trelawny Municipal Corporation, with the support of relevant government agencies, will move to remove an individual who has illegally occupied land earmarked for the construction of a sewage treatment plant to serve the Cave Island Settlement in Hague.
Speaking at the municipality's monthly meeting on Thursday, Gager expressed concern over the continued occupation of the land despite efforts to reclaim it.
"The lot of land has been designated for a sewage plant. Despite notices being served against the illegal building on the land, this person has ignored the municipality and is in the process of constructing a concrete building," Gager said.
