(Kaieteur News) – The discovery of 20-year-old Kerriana Stanford, pregnant and buried in a shallow grave at Chelsea Park, Mahaica, should haunt every Guyanese.
It is difficult to imagine a more chilling reminder of the epidemic of domestic and interpersonal violence that is consuming this nation. A young mother is dead. Her unborn child is dead. If police reports are accurate, another argument ended not with reconciliation or separation, but with murder and an attempt to conceal the crime.
