A Bel­mont man, for whom a State of Emer­gency (SoE) Pre­ven­tive De­ten­tion Or­der (PDO) was is­sued on Mon­day, has been ar­rest­ed by po­lice.

The 26-year-old was held on Tues­day by of­fi­cers of the Port-of-Spain Gang and In­tel­li­gence Unit (POS­GIU).

The PDO was signed on Au­gust 11 by Home­land Se­cu­ri­ty Min­is­ter Roger Alexan­der. Fol­low­ing his ar­rest, the de­tainee was tak­en to a fa­cil­i­ty in the North­ern Di­vi­sion.
