A youngster who âsold [his] friendshipâ for $1 000 was ordered to pay compensation to his former friend when he appeared in the District âAâ Magistratesâ Court yesterday.
Ahkel Ryan Harewood, 23, of 2nd Avenue, New Orleans, The City, admitted he stole four rings, which belonged to Leonard Harewood, between June 2 and August 10.
Prosecutor Sergeant Kenmore Phillips said the two were friends and the complainant loaned Harewood his rings to wear to an event, with the understanding that they would be returned in two weeksâ time.
