Guyana makes TIFF debut, eyes global film investment

Guyana has made its official debut at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), using the 51st edition of the festival to promote the country as a destination for film production and attract investment in its emerging film industry.
A 12-member Guyanese delegation participated in the festival, held in Toronto, Canada, from September 10 to 20, 2026, where Guyana was featured at the TIFF Market.
The participation marked the first time Guyana officially took part in TIFF and formed part of efforts to expand the country’s involvement in the global film industry.
