Gun-toting masked bandits reigned terror on a family of seven who reside in Phillipine, a minute’s drive from the residence of Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar.

The house is located two streets away, along a side road, and is not within sight of the PM’s residence.

The 20-minute 3 a.m. ordeal yesterday of being tied up and held at gunpoint by six intruders felt like endless hours of terror for the family, whose livelihood depends on farming and selling produce at the Debe market.
