ICAB symposium introduces students to the world of accounting

Students from various secondary and tertiary institutions across the island had the opportunity to gain greater insight into the world of accounting and explore future career opportunities in the field.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB) today hosted its student symposium, titled “NextGen Impact: Shaping the Future of Work and Leadership”, at the Cave Hill School of Business, as part of the activities for Accountants Week 2026.

The students heard from professionals with diverse career backgrounds and learned about the impact of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, on the changing world of work.
