The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has advised that the axis of a tropical wave is expected to cross Trinidad and Tobago and the Windward Islands during the early hours of Friday.
This weather system is forecast to bring increased chances of thunderstorm activity, coinciding with the official State visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is scheduled to arrive in Trinidad on Thursday and attend a series of events in Port of Spain on Friday morning before departing later that day.
According to the TTMS, the highest probabilities for thunderstorm development in the early morning hours are expected over the southeast to south to southwest coastal and near-offshore areas of Trinidad, as well as the northeastern and near-eastern coastal and offshore areas of Tobago.
