KINGSTON, Jamaica—Robert Miller of Hydel High atoned for his fall in the finals of the boys’ Class 1 400m hurdles after he ran a personal best 49.96 seconds to win a thrilling Under-20 400m hurdles on Friday’s second day of the JAAA national championships at the National Stadium.
Miller, who had won at the Carifta Games, lowered his previous best of 50.31 seconds and booked his place on the team to the World Under-20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon in early August.
His time is sixth best in the world for boys’ Under- 20 and ninth best all-time by a Jamaican.
