AFTER serving almost 35 years in prison for the murder of a Curepe taxi-driver during a robbery in 1989, two former death row inmates have been released.
During a resentencing exercise yesterday, Justice George Busby directed that Andrew Paul Douglas and Dexter Lendore be immediately released after finding they had already served their time for the crime.
Douglas, Lendore and Keith Ling were all found guilty in 1993 by a 12-member jury of murdering Lall Sookdeo on September 10, 1989, and were sentenced to death.
