Hours af­ter Po­lice Com­mis­sion­er Al­lis­ter Gue­var­ro di­rect­ed that ad­di­tion­al se­cu­ri­ty re­sources be de­ployed in the Bel­mont area, gun­men shot and in­jured a 45-year-old St Barb’s res­i­dent as he drove through the com­mu­ni­ty on Sat­ur­day.

This, even as of­fi­cers were con­duct­ing en­quiries in­to Fri­day’s shoot­ing at Ser­raneau Road, Bel­mont, which claimed the life of 14-year-old Zion Roberts.

Po­lice said Sat­ur­day’s shoot­ing oc­curred around 3 pm and sent res­i­dents scur­ry­ing in­doors at the cor­ner of Ser­raneau Road and St Fran­cois Val­ley Road, Bel­mont.
