She was reĀspondĀing to poĀlitĀiĀcal anĀaĀlyst Dr InĀdiĀra RamĀperĀsad, who, in a Guardian MeĀdia reĀport on SatĀurĀday, claimed the isĀsue of the hike in salaries for parĀliaĀmenĀtarĀiĀans and othĀer high-rankĀing ofĀfiĀcials was hard to overĀturn beĀcause the preĀviĀous govĀernĀment did not take the matĀter to ParĀliaĀment but hanĀdled it withĀin the then-cabĀiĀnet.
RamĀperĀsasd was reĀspondĀing to quesĀtions on PerĀsad-BissesĀsarās claim that she was told by lawyers she doesnāt have the preĀrogĀaĀtive to reĀvert to preĀviĀous govĀernĀment salary strucĀtures and overĀturn the SRC inĀcreasĀes.
