A new board for the National Carnival Commission (NCC) is expected to be named on Wednesday.
A document posted on social media listed possible board members as soca star Neil “Iwer” George, unsuccessful UNC San Fernando West general election candidate John Michael “Makamillion” Alibocas and Pan Trinbago president Beverly Ramsey-Moore.
Sources said UNC general secretary Peter Kanhai is to be the new NCC chairman, replacing calypsonian Winston “Gypsy” Peters, while former UNC alderman and communications/media expert Kevan Gibbs is expected to be named as deputy chairman.
