Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has accused the Opposition PNM of putting politics ahead of public safety, following controversy over the installation of a police post at the Eddie Hart Grounds in Tacarigua.
In a statement on Friday, Mrs Persad-Bissessar claimed that PNM MPs and supporters would rather see communities remain vulnerable to criminal activity than cooperate with security services and Government.
She alleged that after facing public criticism over the issue, the Opposition had resorted to promoting what she described as a racial narrative against Government.
