Former Minister of National Security, Gary Griffith, has questioned the reasoning for former Minister of National Security, Fitzgerald Hinds' visit to the ministry's office.
"So, is his pathetic attack via his latest Facebook post an attempt to distract the public from the possible criminal charges he or others could face if documents showing who exactly gave the requisite approval were to come to light?" Griffith asked in a statement on Saturday morning responding to a post from Hinds on his Facebook page in which he criticised the government's proposed stand your ground legislation.
A media report on Saturday morning said Hinds attempted to access the ministry’s Temple Court office in Port of Spain on Thursday. An official alarm was raised by ministry officials. Defence Minister, Wayne Sturge, confirmed the occurrence to the newspaper.
