Flight operations at Piarco International Airport resumed on Friday after an early morning fire at the Amerijet warehouse facility at the South Terminal forced a temporary shutdown, according to the Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago.
The Authority said it received clearance to restart operations from the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service and the Trinidad and Tobago Civil Aviation Authority.
During the suspension, international flights were temporarily diverted to the ANR Robinson International Airport in Tobago.
