With growing concern over the planned rollout of Jamaica's demerit point system, the Government has hit the brakes, announcing a comprehensive review that could result in changes to the programme's October 1 implementation date.
Transport Minister Daryl Vaz said a multi-agency team is reviewing the implementation of the system amid concerns raised by motorists and other stakeholders.
The team's preliminary report is expected in September and will guide the Government's next steps.
