Dr Catherine Ali, the mother of deceased LMCS diver Kazim Ali Jr, was among three women receiving the Medal for the Development of Women (Silver) at yesterday evening’s national awards ceremony at Queen’s Hall in St Ann’s.
Ali received the award along with Sabrina Mowlah-Baksh, general manager of the Coalition Against Domestic Violence; and Archbishop Barbara Burke.
Ali, a founding member of the United National Congress (UNC), was part of CLUB88 which formed the party.
