The United Kingdom (UK) has produced several popular reggae acts over the years, including Maxi Priest, UB40, Aswad and Steel Pulse. Today, Baddiz, a Jamaican singer based in the UK, is hoping to trod that familiar path to global success.
The conscious entertainer is building momentum with his singles My Heart and Iâm Sailing, which have been enjoying strong rotation in Jamaica and across the diaspora. Speaking of the inspiration behind each song, the entertainer shared that his main musical goal is to mentor youth through his catalogue.
âMy Heart is inspired by my life story, growing up in the ghetto, facing struggles and later getting the opportunity to migrate to the UK,â Baddiz said. âI want youths to be patient, stay humble and avoid violence, gangs and guns so they can create better opportunities for themselves.â
