THE Patriotic Front (PF) has condemned the appointment of Attorney General John Jeremie as a 'grave misstep' for that office, and yesterday cited his history with the United National Congress (UNC) as a direct betrayal of the party and its founding principles.
In a statement yesterday, the Mickela Panday-led party said it 'unreservedly and unequivocally condemns the appointment of John Jeremie as Attorney General by the newly formed UNC-led Government'.
The PF said Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar's 'first and most consequential appointment was her choice of Attorney General'.
