Paula Sequea, the mother of Salisha Ali, said she alerted the police and triggered an investigation when she could not contact her daughter living in Queens, New York.
And when a torso tattooed with the names of Ali’s three daughters was found near the JFK International Airport in September last year, Sequea travelled to the US to confirm the identity.
Even then, Sequea said, she did not know why her daughter was murdered and her body dismembered.
