In commemoration of Spiritual Shouter Baptist Liberation Day, the Office of the President hosted its second annual Spiritual Shouter Baptist Liberation Day Exhibition from March 23 to 25 at the President’s House.
According to a statement from the Office of the President, the exhibition, mounted by the Spiritual Baptist Faith Inc and the Heritage Library Division of the National Library and Information System Authority (NALIS), offered a rich and immersive exploration of the history, resilience and enduring legacy of the Spiritual Baptist faith in Trinidad and Tobago.
Over the course of the three-day exhibition, 281 students from six schools were welcomed to the President’s House, where they engaged with displays and narratives chronicling the struggle for religious freedom and the ultimate liberation of the Spiritual Baptist community.
