A 26-year-old Sea Lots man is expected to be questioned and charged after he was held in connection with the theft of $12,000 worth of underground telecommunications cable on Tuesday morning.
Police said a group of men visited Thomasine Street, Laventille, where they cut both ends of the cable, which were 300 feet apart.
During the theft, the bandits reportedly tied one end of the cable and dragged it out from underground.
