Police seized cannabis and arrested two people during an anti-crime operation in Area North of the Central Division on Friday.
The exercise took place between 1.00 pm and 6.00 pm and was coordinated by senior officers of the Central Division. Officers from the Central Division Task Force Area North took part, with support from the K9 Unit and the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment.
According to police, the operation followed information received by investigators. Searches were conducted at the residences of persons classified as priority offenders under Regulation 390 of the Emergency Powers Regulations, 2025. Officers also carried out searches in locations identified by police as areas where illegal narcotics are sold.
