A review of policies surrounding the compensation of farmers who suffer crop losses due to flooding is currently under way.
So said Minister of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries, Ravi Ratiram, following the handover ceremony of 19,000 kilogrammes of rice and over 12,500 litres of edible oil to Trinidad and Tobago by the government of India.
The ceremony took place at the Ministry of Agriculture’s headquarters at Endeavour, Chaguanas, yesterday.
