Deputy Mayor of Kingston Lorraine Dobson says the Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) continues to see improved compliance from businesses and increased revenue from signs and billboards across the Corporate Area following an ongoing public education and outreach campaign.
Speaking at the KSAMC's monthly meeting on Tuesday, Dobson said the corporation's compliance unit has been taking its services directly to businesses through outreach activities at plazas and commercial centres across the municipality.
She said the initiative is aimed at helping business operators understand the requirements for signage approval, regularise existing signs, submit applications and settle outstanding signage fees.
