Police officers of the Western Division foiled a kidnapping, held two suspects and seized a gun and ammunition during a series of co-ordinated crime eradication and roving stop and search exercises over the weekend.
On November 1, officers of the West End Police Station conducted a roving stop and search exercise under the supervision of Insp Perry, Sgt Bentick and Cpl King, with PC Simmons and PC Lynch participating.
During the exercise, the officers received information via the Command Centre of a kidnapping involving a white Nissan Tiida, reportedly taken from the St Clair district.
