(Kaieteur News) – There is a strange moment that happens to many adults after becoming parents. Your child does something wrong. You open your mouth to correct them and suddenly you hear your mother. Sometimes you even stop and think: “Lord, I turning into my father.”

The expressions come back. The rules return. Even sentences we once hated somehow find their way into our mouths: “As long as you living under my roof…”“When I was your age…”“Children must know their place.” And perhaps the most powerful one: “I get worse than that, and I turn out fine.” Parenthood does something psychologically fascinating. It does not simply give us children to raise. It often reintroduces us to the way we were raised.
