THE growing international threat dubbed cyber factories — where human trafficking victims are held captive to commit online fraud — has made its way to Jamaica.

Minister of National Security and Peace Dr Horace Chang on Friday confirmed Jamaican law enforcement agencies have detected cyber factories operating in the island and are moving quickly to seal the breach.

According to Chang, the Jamaican authorities are fully equipped to prevent this illicit operation from expanding.
