Last August, Richie Flo paid tribute to his home parish with the release of St Thomas Mi Born, his second album.

Two months later, Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica and the Canada-based singer was anxious about his family’s safety.

In June, Richie Flo visited relatives in the district of Buckeny, Yallahs, for the first time since the Category 5 hurricane hit the island devastating some north-western areas.
