Garvin Med­era has re­turned to Dig­i­cel as Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer for the At­lantic Re­gion, just weeks af­ter re­sign­ing from Caribbean Air­lines, where he served as the longest-serv­ing CEO in the car­ri­er’s his­to­ry.

Med­era stepped down from CAL in Oc­to­ber af­ter eight years at the helm.

Dig­i­cel said his ap­point­ment marks a sig­nif­i­cant step in its on­go­ing trans­for­ma­tion. Med­era be­gan his ca­reer with the com­pa­ny, help­ing to build its ear­ly tele­coms and fi­bre net­works. The group said his re­turn re­flects a fo­cus on strength­en­ing re­gion­al ex­per­tise and im­prov­ing ser­vice and re­li­a­bil­i­ty.
