The Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) disciplinary committee is expected to meet within the next 48 hours to determine what sanctions Jamaica College (JC) will face for fielding an allegedly ineligible player in the ongoing Manning Cup and Walker Cup competitions.
ISSA competitions officer Ewan Scott confirmed the development to RJRGleaner Sports on Monday, saying the rules prohibit professional players from participating in the association’s competitions.
“It is clear that no professional can participate,” Scott said. “The decision will be made in terms of penalties, punishment, etc. That is why we will have the meeting to discuss what will happen.”
