THE failure of the defence in the criminal cases against Kaia Sealy to meet court deadlines for filing submissions and evidential objections has delayed the progress of the matters.
A sufficiency hearing was to take place on Tuesday before Master Nazeera Ali, however, when the matter was called, lead defence attorney Larry Williams informed the court there was some delay in the filings, and he was seeking an adjournment.
Master Ali in turn, expressed concern over what she described as a "developing pattern" of non-compliance by the defence after Williams apologised for failing to file documents within the stipulated time.
