ST MARY, Jamaica — The St Mary police are seeking a man for questioning in connection with a series of suspected arson attacks in the Rock River community of Richmond, St Mary, which have left residents on edge.
The first incident occurred at 3:00 am on Friday, August 21, when residents were awakened by flames engulfing two motor vehicles and a business establishment. Despite attempts to contain the blaze, the vehicles and the business were destroyed. The establishment is reportedly owned and operated by a member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
Later that morning, around 6:00 am, another business place in the community was targeted by fire. However, quick intervention by residents prevented the blaze from spreading, resulting in only minor damage to the property.
