A 44-year-old woman was attacked and stabbed early Tuesday morning along Caratal Road, Gasparillo.
Police reported that the victim was walking north near the Anglican Church around 2:05 a.m. when she was approached by a man, identified as Nathan, who is believed to be mentally ill. The suspect reportedly stabbed her several times in the head, neck, and back with a small knife before walking away.
The victim made her way to the Gasparillo Police Station at 2:25 a.m., where she filed a report. She was subsequently taken to the San Fernando General Hospital, where she is receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
