Po­lice are once again urg­ing the pub­lic to be wary of scams where peo­ple are asked to de­posit mon­ey to strangers in ex­change for items ad­ver­tised as be­ing for sale, af­ter a 30-year-old phar­ma­cist was tricked out of $8000.

Po­lice said the man re­spond­ed to an ad­ver­tise­ment on Face­book Mar­ket­place ot a Nis­san Blue­bird Syl­phy for sale on Wednes­day.

The vic­tim re­port­ed­ly con­tact­ed the num­ber pro­vid­ed in the ad­ver­tise­ment who ad­vised him to de­posit $4000 in cash to a bank ac­count.
