Police are once again urging the public to be wary of scams where people are asked to deposit money to strangers in exchange for items advertised as being for sale, after a 30-year-old pharmacist was tricked out of $8000.
Police said the man responded to an advertisement on Facebook Marketplace ot a Nissan Bluebird Sylphy for sale on Wednesday.
The victim reportedly contacted the number provided in the advertisement who advised him to deposit $4000 in cash to a bank account.
