For the first time since September 8, 2014, someone other than Colm Imbert will present the country’s national budget.

Finance Minister Davendranath Tancoo will present his first national budget in Parliament at 1.30 p.m. today, the first under the Kamla Persad-Bissessar administration, which was voted into office on April 28, 2025.

It is expected to be a deficit budget.
