Alleged gang leader and murder accused Rajaee Ali and his co-accused Earl Richards have been detained under the ongoing state of emergency, while four earlier detention orders have been revoked by the Minister of Homeland Security.
In a legal notice dated August 18, the minister ordered the detention of Rajaee Ali, who, the minister claimed, has been credibly identified as the leader of the Radical Islamic Criminal Gang.
That same day, a separate detention order was issued for Earl Richards, who was also identified as a member of the Radical Islamic Criminal Gang.
