Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, the Honourable Phillip Watts, received a courtesy visit from Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) Chief Executive Officer Venky Mysore, Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Chief Executive Officer Pete Russell, and Sport Ambassador Dwayne Bravo.
The Minister was joined by Chief Executive Officer of the Sport Company of Trinidad and Tobago (SporTT) Mr. Arnold Ram for the high-level discussion, which focused on strengthening the longstanding partnership among the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs, TKR and the CPL.
Discussions highlighted the continued value of the CPL in promoting Trinidad and Tobago as a premier sporting destination, while creating opportunities for national athletes, young people, communities and the wider sport sector. The meeting also reaffirmed the shared commitment to using cricket as a platform for youth engagement, national pride, tourism visibility and economic activity.
