THE Occupational Safety and Health Authority and Agency (OSHA) Inspectorate is reviewing crane certifications and operator duties across Perenco’s Teak, Samaan and Poui (TSP) fields as part of its investigation into an incident in which a crane detached from its pedestal and injured a worker.
In a news release yesterday, OSHA said it was continuing to engage with Perenco to review incident footage, operational records, documentation and other relevant evidence.
“Further investigative activities, include desktop audits, review of crane operator duties and validation of crane certifications in the overall operations of Teak, Samaan and Poui (TSP) fields to mitigate recurring risk from these types of accidents,” the release stated.
