KINGSTON, Jamaica — American Aidan Mayo won the ATP Kingston 2 Challenge Lawn Tennis tournament, beating Andy Andrade of Ecuador 6-3, 7-6 in the final at the Liguanea Club on Saturday.
The 23-year-old turned back the number two seed in just over two hours on Centre Court and walked away with the US$17,000 first prize money and 75 valuable ranking points.
Andrade, as the runner-up, will collect US$9,600, while beaten semi-finalists Guto Miguel of Brazil and Rodrigo Mendez of Mexico walked away with US$5,510 each.
