ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Police have imposed a 48-hour curfew on eight communities amid the threat of reprisals in relation to Saturday’s double murder in Luana.
The communities of Hodges Land, Luana, Speculation, Cambridge, Spring Park, Brompton, Fyffes Pen and Crawford are under curfew as at 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 11, until 6:00 pm, on Tuesday, October 13.
Head of the St Elizabeth police Superintendent Coleridge Minto said the threat of reprisal stems from the murder of one of two men in Saturday’s gun attack identified as Shadrick Watson, a resident of Hodges Land.
