Education Minister Dr Michael Dowlath says when school reopens on Monday, there will be police officers with guns at some high-risk schools.
He said this measure would be temporary and would be monitored as the intervention is rolled out.
During a post-Cabinet news conference at the Diplomatic Centre on Thursday, Dowlath had said there would be no guns at 50 high-risk schools, where more than 240 Special Reserve Police (SRP) will be deployed on Monday.
