In the quiet Indigenous village of Rewa, nestled in the North Rupununi of Region Nine, a young Demion Mack discovered a world that would eventually become his greatest source of inspiration, the world of art.
Born on September 9, 2001, Mack’s artistic journey began during his early years at Rewa Nursery and Primary School, where he developed a natural fascination with drawing. What began as a childhood interest gradually evolved into a passion and, ultimately, a career dedicated to capturing the beauty of Guyana on canvas.
“I believe I was born with this talent,” Mack reflects, explaining that while his interest in art had always been present, it was during secondary school that he began to see art as more than a hobby.
