(Kaieteur News) – Lindsayca Guyana Inc., the contractor hired to deliver phase one of the Gas-to-Energy (GTE) project, on Thursday informed Jamaican Prime Minister, Andrew Holness that construction activities are ongoing round-the-clock to ensure power generation by the end of 2026.
The project was initially intended to startup at the end of 2024 but has faced significant delays due to the soil at Wales, West Bank Demerara.
Prime Minister Holness was on an official state visit to Guyana between June 25 and June 26, Guyana’s Office of the Prime Minister reported.
